FeatherDusters, as I like to call them, are a sea creature that is cone shaped and has these feathery things that pop out of their shells. If you disturb them, the feathery fringe goes back in the shell. I remember kayaking along the open Gulf waters of the Keys and seeing these remarkable, lovely, fluid creatures along the pale sandy bottom. What joy!
