Artsy
One of our local natural beauties, Crater Lake, inspired me to do this abstract of a lake rimmed by trees and rocks. The 1-inch square pattern on top is meant to slightly skew the vision. It's like a memory of the lake to me and what little pieces my mind remembers, all put together to form the whole view. This piece is always changing as the light of the day changes. The powder light blue of the sky turns slightly blue-ish grey when the sun begins to go down. The lake also darkens as the sun sets. The slight soft texture of the squares adds different perspectives to it every time you look at it. The magic of glass, in my opinion, is how it is affected by light. And this piece really plays with it. It comes with the very sturdy steel stand shown in the picture. Total size including stand is 14 3/4" x 13" wide.
